Connecting disabled men & women to responsible sex workers, therapists, & teachers

The trade needs to be decriminalised so that we can set up in business legitimately. Once the laws against brothel keeping and living off immoral earnings are repealed, the girls can work together and develop our skills, reach out and improve on social inclusion. Then we can begin to offer a higher level of service, including teaching and sexual healing.

Sunday Telegraph

15 August 2010

Our Freedom of Information survey reported in Community Care today made it to the front page of the Sunday Telegraph, with quotes from councils around the country about their policies and lack of policies on disabled people spending their direct payments on sex workers. A spokesperson at Knowsley council said that requests for funding to access to sexual services would be “looked at on a case-by-case basis”. We are sure that does a lot towards disabled people’s right to privacy!

Liz Sayer of RADAR said at the end of the article that “the desire for sexual intercourse was a matter of human rights”.
