Hi All

I have been asked to post this research request here on behalf of Stephanie Hutton of Brighton University who is currently doing her MSc (Health through Occupation) and her research project requires that she interviews sex workers listed on TLC who have been sex workers for more than 6 months and work with disabled clients, and needs a few more sex workers to complete her study. Please get in touch with her if you would be interested in helping her with this, as she so far has been unable to get enough volunteers for this project.

I completed a telephonic interview with her this morning, she asked very pertinent questions, was personable and open minded and a pleasure to talk to. I think the research she is doing is very valuable, as there has not been much focus from the occupational health perspective of disabled clients sexual needs.

The purpose of the study is as follows: 'To explore sex workers perceptions of their roles with adults with physical disabilities to improve the current knowledge and literature within the field of occupational therapy. The study will focus on your own opinions, views and perceptions of your service for those with disabilities and the impact it may have'.

Her contact details are:

Stephanie Hutton (MSc Health through Occupation Student)
School of Health Professions, University of Brighton
Sh363@uni.brighton.ac.uk

Research Supervisor:
Lee Price ( MSc Health through Occupation course leader)
School of Health Professions, University of Brighton
L.R.Price@brighton.ac.uk

She will be able to send you further information once you have made contact with her.

All the best
Jemma x
